Pilot pricing

Per device, per month. Hardware at cost.

A site is a device count, so the price is a device count. Nothing is charged per alert, per incident or per seat, and there is no district contract to sign.

The workplace module is being built and no site is running it yet, so this is what a pilot site would pay rather than a list anybody is buying from today. The family app on Android is free and stays free.

          An anchor is a device. It costs the same to serve as any other, and it is the one
            earning the geometry — a surveyed position is what lets a site be told something
            useful about where a sound came from.

            card. Passed through at what it costs plus logistics: it is not a margin line, and a
            site may bring its own retired handsets against the published criteria instead.

A floor of forty people with four anchors is forty-four devices, and comes to roughly PHP 11,000 a month.

That is arithmetic on the line above rather than a quote, and the comparison a facilities manager will make is to a guard’s salary. Make it honestly: this is not a replacement for a guard. A guard walks towards a noise, asks a question and locks a door. This does none of those things. What it does is hear something at the same instant in several places at once, which a guard cannot.

02 — Why it says “pilot pricing”

The number behind the price was measured at today’s scale, not the next one.

What it costs to serve one device has been measured rather than estimated. That figure is not printed on this page, and the omission is deliberate: a measurement on a price page loses its date and its method within one screenshot and becomes a claim. Every measured figure this programme publishes lives in one place, with the date it was taken and the way it was taken beside it — how it performs, where this one is not yet listed.

The measurement was also taken at the scale that exists today, which is family handsets. A site is a different shape: more devices behind one boundary, and a heavier load on the part of the infrastructure nobody has yet pushed. So the price above is provisional until a site has run for a quarter, and it says so on its own face rather than being quietly revised afterwards.

Alerting is not part of what is being sold. It stays switched off until this programme’s own false-alarm criterion is met, measured — and today the measurement is far above it. What a site is paying for in the meantime is a survey, a placement plan, drills, drill reports and a readiness state that says out loud when the site is not covered. The figures, each with the column it came from named, are on how it performs.
No alert has ever fired from a real event. Any price on this page is a price for something that has never been used in anger, and anybody deciding to spend money should weigh that first.

03 — What is not charged for

The lines that are absent on purpose.

Nothing per alert and nothing per incident. A pricing model that earns more when the detector fires more is a pricing model with an opinion about the threshold, and this one must not have one.
Nothing for wiring, and no proprietary sensor. The ears are Android handsets. If a site stops, they are Android handsets again.
Nothing for the family module. It is free on Android, has no account and no purchase, and it stays that way.
Nothing from a police agency. Ever. An agency paying for a feed is an agency with a reason to want the feed to be busy.

The survey comes before the price.

A quote needs a floor plan, because a device count is a geometry answer rather than a headcount. Half an hour, your plan, and an honest read of what the geometry can and cannot do in your building.
